Delete Your Account

You have the right to request deletion of your GitHelp account and all associated personal data at any time. Please follow the steps below to submit your request.

How to Request Account Deletion

Send an email to support@githelp.net with the subject line: "Account Deletion Request"

Include the phone number associated with your GitHelp account so we can locate your data.

We will confirm your request within 2 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days.
What Data Is Deleted
Upon confirmed deletion of your account, the following data will be permanently removed:

Your name and phone number
Your profile photo
Your job history and posted jobs
Your chat messages
Your location data
Your Stripe Identity verification record (subject to Stripe's retention policies)
Data We May Retain
Some data may be retained for a limited period after deletion for legal and compliance purposes:

Payment records — retained for up to 7 years as required by financial regulations
Dispute records — retained for up to 3 years in case of legal claims
Fraud prevention data — retained as required by Stripe and applicable law
⚠️ Please note: If you have an active job in progress or a pending payout, we recommend waiting until those are resolved before requesting deletion. Outstanding balances will be processed before your account is closed.
